The Chemung County Transit System is the area’s public transportation service dedicated to providing safe, reliable, convenient, and affordable transportation. We provide frequent service to area hospitals and clinics, work centers, and retirement homes in Elmira, Elmira Heights, and Horseheads. That same frequent service is also provided to the Arnot Mall / Big Flats shopping, restaurant, and entertainment area. We also provide service to Corning, New York and the Corning Community College, Ithaca, New York and Cornell University, and Sayre, Pennsylvania and the Guthrie/Robert Packer Hospital.

One addition service we are especially proud of is the Mark Twain Trolley Tour. In cooperation with the Chemung Chamber of Commerce, during the months of July and August, we provide a one-hour tour of Chemung County that showcases its rich historical history and Twain’s legacy in a format that is both entertaining and fun to tourists and locals.
